As it can also be used by adults to treat mouth ulcers and gum irritation, Anbesol Teething Gel is a handy product that can be kept around the house for the whole family to use. Two of the ingredients, Chlorocresol and cetylpyridinium chloride, are both mild antiseptics that kill a variety of bacteria and fungi that might infect sore or broken skin in the mouth. Gel containing Lidocaine hydrochloride 1.0% w/w, Cetylpyridinium chloride 0.02% w/w, Chlorocresol 0.1% w/w. Temporary relief of pain caused by recurrent mouth ulcers, denture irritation and teething.. Adults and children: apply small amount to affected area with a clean finger tip. 2 immediate applications should be sufficient. Use up to 4 times daily. Babies teething: apply small amount to affected area with a clean fingertip up to 4 times daily. Anbesol Liquid is also suitable for easing the pain of teething.
